This cute banner is a simple, yet charming project your children can make to help decorate for Thanksgiving.
Construction paper in 4 or 5 autumnal colors
Leaf templates - 4 or 5 different leaf shapes
pencil, scissors, yarn, scotch tape, and 10 capital letter stickers to spell, GIVE THANKS
Large leaf templates can be found in applique quilting books. Trace around the leaf templates with a pencil and carefully cut 10 construction paper leaves, in varying shapes and colors. Tape tips of the leaves to a long strand of yarn, allowing several inches between. Affix letters on leaves to spell, "Give Thanks."
This simple, cute banner can be saved and used eachThanksgiving. To make the paper leaves more durable, laminate them. Or, cut leaves from felt, instead of construction paper.
